A unique Christmas Dinner at Pyrgos Petreza
The festive mood couldn't have started better at Pyrgos Petreza. The Christmas dinner exceeded our expectations, even for those of us who participated in the event. We enjoyed it with all our senses.
The first pleasant surprise of the night was the live music. Two tenors, a loudspeaker and a piano, were playing for our guests classical music that in the course of the evening became more festive, more Christmas-like and really fun. Our tenors, as it turned out, besides great voices, had a very good mood and very good communication with the guests.
The dinner started with one of the best dishes of the evening, a mushroom soup that made us all wonder what made it so enjoyable. Of course, these were our Chef's special abilities, but it may have played a part the fact that we picking up some of the mushrooms on our last trip to France on our own.
Soon, however, we realized that this dinner still had many pleasant surprises. Our Chef Miltiadis Kioukas created a truly impressive menu that was constantly stunned without ever losing its balance. Both the flavors and the special service are truly unique.
One of the peculiarities of this dinner was the fact that we weren't served on dishes but on trays. Each guest received first a tray of appetizers, then a tray of sea flavors, then a tray of mountain flavors and finally a tray of sweets. It was really impressive! And each tray was accompanied by two selected wines. A real feast of flavors.
And in the end, as we have always been a group discussing our favorite dish of the night, the wine that wants to try again, and the wonderful tenors that really made the difference.
